Traveling Day Camps

A traveling day camp takes camp "on the road” to a church for a week at a time. The program emphasizes community building and exploration of creation through arts and crafts, recreation, Bible study and worship. This program offers elementary school children a camp experience within the congregational setting. It provides the opportunity for a partnership between your camp and a congregation. Your camp provides the staff and all program elements and the congregation provides hospitality for staff and recruitment of campers. Day Camp is especially effective for smaller churches allowing them to offer a ministry to children that would not be possible otherwise.

A two-day consultation equips you with all the tools and information you need to start a traveling day camp program. The consultation includes two copies of the manual and a CD of forms and program ideas.
